Today, 07/07/2021 at 9pm, the New York Police Department confirms a third murder within a week. Twenty-three years old Wyatt Dupont, male, is the third announced and confirmed victim, found in the former portuary region, Dumbo. Brooklyn is now terrified n' left without informations, some people relate a feeling like a hostage to fear.
Officer James Mulligan, who's in charge of the case, advises protectives measures under a curfew that should start at 7pm — bearing in mind that the crimes all took place around 8pm to 8:50pm —, while residents demand for more active and firm actions and police coverage to ensure Brooklyn's protection, safety plus surveillance. So far, what is known, it's the basic: brutal crimes down the street and the killer remains unknown.
Although discarted by the NYCPD, there's a hypothesis surrounding the district residents, that claims the supernatural nature of the crimes. However, none of the specullations has been proved by the Department – or at least taked in consideration. Some do allegate hysterical screams heard throughout the neighborhood, while others allege apparitions of a disform figure wandering in the streets at night. Whether it's just a “comfort” way to explain the barbarity, the case is now popularly known as “Chimera”.
